Fall 2023 Update: Wolf Willow Community’s Flourishing Future

The Woof Willow Dog Park is Open

Wolf Willow Community has recently unveiled its newest gem: a sprawling, nine-acre off-leash dog park—the first of its kind in South Calgary. This fenced-in paradise caters to both big and small dogs, featuring dedicated areas equipped with an impressive array of agility gear. From A-frames to adjustable jump bars, agility walks to teeter totters, the park ensures that pups of all sizes can frolic and play to their heart’s content.

At the heart of this canine haven lies a central concrete plaza serving as the park’s gateway, complete with double-gated entryways and designated leashing/unleashing corrals. While a primary entrance welcomes visitors, a secondary access point nestled along Wolf Creek Way SE offers convenient access for nearby residents, ensuring easy accessibility from residential areas.

As visitors enjoy the spectacle of dogs darting through agility courses, the park provides ample seating, including benches, picnic tables, and various spots to relax and observe the furry festivities from a distance. Additionally, a spacious parking lot is available for both community visitors and residents, making it hassle-free for all to enjoy this exciting addition to Wolf Willow.

Beans are purchased directly from the farmers that grow them all through their partners at Phil and Sebastian.

210th Avenue Construction to Connect Wolf Willow and Legacy

The introduction of this new major road will enhance connectivity between Wolf Willow and its sister community, Legacy. This addition will extend accessibility towards the southwest, simplifying travel in and out of the neighborhood between the two areas. The linkage is currently under construction extending south of Wolf Willow Blvd. connecting seamlessly to 210 Avenue SE and is estimated for completion in 2024.
